Overview
H-132 Back to Back Welded Channel - 4 PiecesH-132-A4 strut channels are manufactured by a series of forming dies, or rolls, which progressively cold work the strip steel into the desired channel configuration. This method produces a cross-section of uniform dimensions within a tolerance of ±0.015" on outside dimensions.

H-132 strut is the most common, and typically the standard, 12 gauge channel specified for numerous applications. Sometimes known as "deep" strut, it is commonly used for MEP supports, trapeze, seismic bracing, and many other applications. It is available "slotted" or with several other pre-punched hole and weld configurations.

- Aluminum (Type 6063-T6) - ASTM B221
- Plain Steel - ASTM A1011 SS Grade 33
- Pre-Galvanized Steel - ASTM A653 SS Grade 33, G90
- Stainless Steel (Type 304 & 316L) - ASTM A240
- Other materials and specifications are available upon request.
Finishes
H-Strut is available in powder-coated and zinc trivalent. Other finishes are available upon request.

- Zinc Trivalent Chromium (ZTC) - ASTM B633

Loading Data
- Load capacities in this section include a safety factor (to the yield strength) of 1.68 for beam loads and 1.80 for column loads.
- When calculating load at the center of the span, multiply load from the table by 0.5 and deflection by 0.8.
- When calculating beam and column loads for aluminum, multiply by 33%.
