H-112 Back to Back Welded Channel With Slots

H-112-OSA strut channels are Haydon’s strongest back-to-back profile, formed through a series of precision dies or rolls that progressively cold work the steel into the desired shape. This process ensures a cross-section with uniform dimensions and a tolerance of ±0.015" on outside dimensions.

Material

H-Strut channels are manufactured from high quality, domestically sourced structural steel and roll formed into shape. These products comply with MFMA-4 standards.

Aluminum (Type 6063-T6) – ASTM B221
Plain Steel – ASTM A1011 SS Grade 33
Pre-Galvanized Steel – ASTM A653 SS Grade 33, G90
Stainless Steel (Type 304 & 316L) – ASTM A240

Finishes

H-Strut is available in powder-coated and zinc trivalent. Other finishes are available upon request.

Hot-Dip Galvanized – ASTM A123
Zinc Trivalent Chromium (ZTC) – ASTM B633

Loading Data

Load capacities include a safety factor of 1.68 for beam loads and 1.80 for column loads.
When calculating load at the center of the span, multiply the load from the table by 0.5 and deflection by 0.8.
When calculating beam and column loads for aluminum, multiply by 33%.

General

H-Strut channels are manufactured in accordance with the ANSI North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, 2016 Edition.

Welding

Channel combinations of two or more elements are spot welded together to form multiple combinations. Welds are placed two inches on center throughout the length of the sections.

Length Information

Standard lengths are 10' and 20' with a tolerance of ±⅛". Other lengths are available upon request.
